Finally ......

Today is a supa amazing day !!! The whole day I only had a hot cuppa Soya milk.... & I had my only meal of the day at close to 9pm. Watz so amazing is .... I didnt feel hungry at all .... Hmmm... the power Of ??? Anyway, these 3 days am fasting for the coming power weekend at Trinity @ Adam.

Went for a walk around 1.30pm, walked ard Everton Park area .... & before I knew it .... it started to pour.... wah say !! Heng arr, I got a tiny brolly in my bag ... reached for it & put it to good use. As The rain was so heavy, I cldnt go anywhere else so I juz walked into every lil provision shop I chanced upon, feels a lil' nostalgic to walk in the shops.... reminds me of my childhood days, where I wld go across the road of my estate and satisfy my happy cravings !!
Finally the last shop was a modern day MaMa shop, found all the Indian spices I have been looking for sealed in 250gm packets sitting on the shelves. Huray.... I tot to myself, I can make butter chicken liao ..... hee.. hee... so I got the spices & juz as well, the rain stopped !! I cld walk back to office without using my brolly.

This afternoon, my mobile rang to the tune of Doraemon in canto, tatz the tune when anyone calling from my home rings me ... was wondering who it cld be. My, itz mum !! (she hardly calls me) hee.. hee.. Mum basically called to say, where r the Spring onions you mentioned you bought. Hmm.. in the fridge arr !! then she told me, did you know you got chinese chives instead of Spring onions ??? I was like ! Huh ??? haa.. haa.. izit ?? oh my !! Mum called me a sotong ... haa.. haa... I was like ??? haa.. anyway as I hung up, I was still in disbelief. *scratch head*

Left office supa on time .... headed straight for home, My doraemon ring tone sounded again. Itz mum!!! Girl, u need me to cook yr food for u ??? what time u coming back ??
Aei, ma ... watever U do, dun start cooking yet ... I on the way liao !!!
Ha... so funnie.. muz do more of such makan sessions then mum wld call me more often.
Reached home, Mum was fantastic, she soaked the dou miao and have them washed oredi. So I haeaded for the fridge, took out the sliced ginger which was prepared yesterday and the marinated chicken and to the cooker. started cooking ... Fried my ginger till golden brown and fragrant, then add in the chicky... hee.. then various sauces & seasoning... As I was doing tat, I lighted the fire for the soup and bring it to boil under slow heat. Then prepared the making of the tou fu. Mum was good, did her famous Tau Si fish for us to add to our menu. Since it was early, I took a break !! Went to do some other stuff 1st.
Then I steamed the tou fu, and shared some w/ my family as the were having their dinner.
My kor, asked me when did I buy the bacon for ?? Oh, so much food nw, so no need to do the appetizer lor... Then he asked me did U realized U bought 2 different types of bacon ?? I went "huh" !!! ??? !! haaa... haaa blur lor laa !!!

At 20:53, M&M arrived... yeah !! As they walked in ... they happily greeted my family members & then passed me a box of durian puff fm the famous place near Joo Chiat, they got it fm Suntec. Small M was happy tat now they can take a direct bus from her work place to my home, and tat also means in future she can go Church @ PL too .... hee... As they sat down the round dinner table, Small M's eyes focused on the TV !! She was literally following the chinese drama that was on the googlebox. My mobile beeped, sms came in .... our G.O.H. juz arrived and making itz way over. I had to start frying the Veg ... & Small M was very helpful, she replied all the sms tat flooded my mobile at that point, coz it all came from the same person. Juz when my veg was ready, at 21:06, the Homesick arrived !!! M&M went out to help our dear fren in .. with all the luggage and bags I think.... ha.. haa
(juz in case U wondering why I am so accurate with the timing, coz all the evidence is logged in my mobile) hee... heee

Juz in time.... dinner's ready !! As I was scooping the rice, a voice from the background - "aei I cant eat much... du ngive me so much rice, I ate abit on board" Hmm... okie lor !! so lesser rice I give. Small M said Grace & we started eating !! Wah ... the boys, exclaimed when they tasted the chicken !! (haa ... no guess for wat it meanz) but I'm glad they enjoyed !! Small M was the happiest... having dinner at the same time in front of the gogglebox... She was teeling us how much she like this actor in the show & we all laughed ... haa.. then suddenly, U hear a voice "Urm ... I dun mind having more rice ... " haa... haa... obvious we all know who it came from. The egg tou fu was oso a hit, except tat was not soft enough. Hmm ... will try again nx round. hee... anyway, everyone juz eat lah... especially tat one away fm home & home cooked food .... for a while, juz enjoy !!
After dinner, we had the durian puffs for dessert. Small M was singing as she watched TV & tat kept us quite entertained. For some reasons, she was in this 'getai' mood and went on & on ... till the boys cannot tahan.. and wanna go off ... haa... haaa anyway was oredi close to 11pm.. so we headed outside & they took cabs back.

Yeah !! I got my fav almond flake biscuit fm HK !! thanks arr....

Was a fruitful time of gathering !! Surely was worth all the effort I made in cooking !! Thanks folks... thanks for coming !! I so enjoyed it... Finally..... :)
